Alhaji Mikail Adegoke Mumuni  had his primary education at Saint John’s Anglican Primary School, Kuto, Abeokuta, after which he proceeded to Eko Boys’ High School, Lagos for his secondary education.

His tertiary education was at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife (now OAU) where he graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

A Media Practitioner and Corporate Communications Specialist of close to four decades of experience. Alhaji Mumuni has undertaken numerous professional training programs and covered several important assignments in Nigeria, USA, Japan, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and Togo.

He is the publisher of The Shield Online newspaper (theshieldonlineng.com) and former Group Corporate Affairs Manager of Resort International Limited ( parent company of Bi-Courney Aviation Services Ltd, Operator of Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, Terminal 2).

He had also at different times served as the Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Compass newspapers; Senior Associate Editor of the Newswatch Magazine; Nation’s Capital Editor of Newswatch Newspapers, Politics and Features Editor of The Punch Newspapers ( Sunday title); Senior Assistant Editor of the TELL Magazine and Dodan Barracks Correspondent (State House Correspondent) of The Democrat Newspapers among others.

Alhaji Mumuni is an alumnus of the US Department of State sponsored International Visitors Programme,  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG), Member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Member of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, Member of the APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council (Media and Publicity Directorate), Member of the National Media Committee of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the 2022 and 2023 pilgrimages, and  member of the UTME High Powered Committee of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) since 2021.
