Hajia Salamatu Yusuf is a seasoned human resources professional and banker of repute with extensive experience spanning over two decades across both the commercial and regulatory banking spectrum.

She is a graduate of leadership certificates from Harvard and INSEAD. She also possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA), PDG, and Master of Science (MSc) in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, respectively.

She is a subject matter expert (SME) in diverse professions with full scope in administration, human resources management, learning training and development, strategy management, resource utilization, stakeholder value analysis, and business process risks, among others. She served at the senior management level for a period of 15 years during which she successfully coordinated the execution of several strategic corporate learning and human resources initiatives aimed explicitly at supporting the achievement of the inclusive mandate of the respective organizations.

As a certified Balanced Scorecard Management System and Performance Improvement Professional, she initiated and implemented high net worth organizational all-inclusive strategic plans with guaranteed results, leveraging her diverse knowledge of the Balanced Scorecard monitoring tool. She is a self-driven and highly focused resource person with vast experience in high-growth operations and successful restructuring projects. She is dedicated to creating a strategy and prolific work environment that complements organizational overarching goals and key business indicators.

Salamatu possesses the capability to establish, innovate, maintain, and sustain existing effective collaborative working relationships with heads of institutions, elected officials, and statutory employees to facilitate compliance, build result-driven engagement, resolve conflicts, and obtain support for change, with seamless collaboration of the instituted chain of command.

She started her banking experience with Union Bank PLC and rose to the level of Head, Academics at the bank’s Learning Academy. She voluntarily resigned and left for the apex Bank – Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after a period of 14 years of meritorious service. She is currently the Deputy Director, Head – Customer Relationship Division from January 2022 to date. She is happily married with children.

She is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy.
